Corndog King Competition

The King Contest has been CANCELLED due to a lack of interest.

The King Contest at the Bristol Corndog Festival is your chance to show off your talents, charm, and creativity~ Compete for the crown and the ultimate prize — a Blackstone grill. Whether you’re singing, dancing, or showing off a hidden skill, this is your moment to rule the stage!

Applicants:

  • Must be 18 and up (by September 5, 2025)

Competition Requirements:

  • Formal Wear- however you interpret it (it is a Corndog Festival!)
  • Talent 
  • Interview Question from a Queen

Rules & Information:

  • Participants MUST BE 18 or older.
  • Participants must present a talent. Talent must be family-friendly; no foul language, nudity, and/or sexually explicit content allowed. Talent must be between three to five (3-5) minutes, no more than six (6) minutes (with a 3-minute set-up allowed). Props must be (approved) safe; no open flames or dangerous equipment. No mess left is allowed on the stage. This includes but is not limited to confetti, water, sand, food, powder or anything sticky. You will be judged on time, creativity, and originality. Constants must furnish their music for all categories.
  • Participants must present their best “formal” wear. The ensemble must be appropriate in nature.
  • Participants must be prepared to answer interview questions on stage. Language must be family-friendly and free of sexual content and/or cursing. Contestants have sixty (60) seconds to answer the question entirely.
  • No applications will be accepted on the day of the festival. Applicants must have confirmed registration by September 1.
  • Judging will be based on a system of total accumulated points.
  • Contestants will be judged on interviews, talent, formal wear, and overall presentation.
  • Contestants must adhere to a family friendly performance/show basis. No sexual content or obscene language will be tolerated. Failure to adhere will cause for disqualification.

Corndog King Duties:

  • Be willing to promote the following festival, including possible local media appearances.
  • Be present at next year’s festival to pass on the crown.
